1、 The use of polishing wheels is problematic.
For the entire process, the importance of polishing wheels is self-evident, and they must be used to complete regardless of how the surface is treated. Sanding, peeling, deburring, matte polishing, mirror polishing, etc. Due to its importance, prominent issues have also been posted many times.
Select polishing wheels based on different polishing materials, and use different polishing wheels for different metals. For example, hemp wheel or oil hemp wheel can be used for initial polishing of stainless steel. The hardness of hemp wheel should be large enough to form a good sanding effect with the stainless steel surface; For copper products, such good polishing wheels cannot be used. The material of copper parts must have sufficient hardness to achieve the sanding effect of the stainless steel surface.
Select a polishing wheel according to polishing needs. There are different levels of requirements for polishing, such as sanding, matte, and mirror finish. Generally, abrasive belt and thousand blade wheel are used for grinding, and sponge wheel and hemp wheel can be used for special cases. Matte wheels, hemp rope wheels, thousand wire wheels, etc. are all used. Mirror effect stainless steel generally uses cloth wheels, generally using soft cloth, and can use pearlescent cloth wheels.
2、 Use polishing wax.
Internal experts know that just using a polishing wheel to dry throw can damage the product, as we need to apply a layer of chemical agent - polishing wax (polishing paste) to the polishing wheel during polishing. And there are many types of polishing waxes, how to distinguish and choose? The use of polishing usually depends on the polishing effect and the material of the polishing product. During initial investment, stainless steel usually uses ordinary white wax, zinc alloy, aluminum alloy yellow wax or red wax, and 304 stainless steel can choose purple wax or blue wax. When polishing, green wax is generally used.
3、 Fixture issues.
We often encounter product fixation issues during the polishing process. The polishing industry has a wide range of products, except for common specifications such as round tubes, square tubes, and flat plates, which require no clamps. Ordinary machines can polish, but some irregular or small sized products require fixing them to the workpiece. The processing device for fixed products is called a polishing fixture, which is usually fixed on a mechanical workbench, mainly including vacuum suction clamps, magnetic suction clamps, general purpose clamps, and so on.
When polishing irregular products, if there is no clamping, the phenomenon of flying may occur, which is a major taboo in polishing production. In the polishing process, how to reasonably make fixtures can greatly improve processing efficiency. For example, when using a planar burrs machine, it is necessary to install the grinder on the workbench of the planar burrs machine. Generally, vacuum suction cups can be used for grinding, and magnetic suction cups can be used for iron products. However, the production of fixtures is generally customized according to the shape of the product, and during design and processing, it is necessary to make the fixtures match the machinery and product as much as possible.
